#2021 Haute Couture Fashion Week: CHANEL’s latest haute couture collection invites you to join Chanel’s relaxed and enjoyable family gathering!

CHANEL’s latest haute couture collection invites you to join a relaxed and enjoyable family gathering at Chanel’s 2021 Spring/Summer haute couture collection officially released last night at nine o’clock. Hours before the show, the brand had already begun posting on the internet and with a group of brand friends at the flagship store on Rue Cambon in Paris, taking stylish black and white photos in front of the famous mirrored spiral staircase, screens, and sofas. The photos were taken by the collaborating photographer Anton Corbijn and were called “Family portraits,” revealing an intimate feeling of family reunion.

Fashion shows have always been a moment for fashion friends from all over to reunite, but unfortunately, due to a pandemic, traditional fashion shows have changed their original format. The once crowded and lively showrooms with no empty seats are now deserted and empty, and press conferences have moved online. Although we are thousands of miles apart, our pursuit and longing for fashion, emotions, and beauty have not changed due to the pandemic, but have instead accumulated and increased.

Virginie Viard, like everyone desires, dedicated herself to creating an intimate feminine atmosphere for this haute couture collection, much like a family gathering, attending a wedding, or reuniting with sisters, where women can dress up and enjoy the joyful atmosphere of spring. Although the video starts with black and white footage, showcasing the entire collection in a non-traditional way at once; the footage then transitions back to color, revealing each of the 32 looks one by one. Brand ambassadors and close friends Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp, and others became the audience for this grand show with a seating arrangement that ensured safe distances.

Models lined up in a small queue, walking down the stairs of the Grand Palais in Paris, passing through a floral arch. They exchange smiles and greetings as they pass each other, and even stop midway to sit down in the seats with some guests to watch the new season’s haute couture collection together.

Clothing can still be seen in thick tweed jackets, transformed into long coat styles or vest styles, embellished with romantic, poetic camellia embroidery, water diamonds, and layered chiffon skirts, sometimes light and sometimes solemn, bringing another kind of modernity and confidence.
