Miu Miu, which has always given people a gentle and beautiful impression while having a rebellious soul, has collaborated with the British footwear brand Church’s to launch a joint collection, injecting the brand’s free spirit into the formal style of this traditional brand.
The classic century-old brand Church’s, which collaborated with Miu Miu this time, is a shoe brand appointed by the British royal family. It was founded in 1873 and gained fame for its handmade men’s leather shoes. The Church’s × Miu Miu collaboration shoes in this collection are based on the classic double buckle and carved leather shoe style, but the silhouette is more rounded and spacious compared to the original version.
Made from glossy polished leather, these shoes showcase classic black and tobacco tones. The leather sole is replaced with a flexible and slip-resistant rubber sole, making the shoes lighter. The shoe toe and body feature delicate carved decorations, while the tongue and side of the sole are adorned with the Miu Miu logo. The insole is imprinted with the Church’s X Miu Miu logo, showcasing exquisite details from the inside out. The campaign images for the Church’s × Miu Miu collaboration series, shot by photographer Lengua, feature models Rejoice Chuol and Annabelle Weatherly wearing Miu Miu clothing. They are depicted lazily lounging on chairs, creating a contrast between tradition and contemporary, and a blend of softness and masculine style to interpret the shoes.
Church’s × Miu Miu collaboration series will be available for sale on miumiu.com and at major Miu Miu boutiques starting from September 6th!
