This year, August 22nd is Qixi Valentine’s Day, and major fashion brands have seized the opportunity to launch various limited edition collections. Each brand has also specially created sweet and thoughtful advertising campaigns for the Qixi limited edition collection, in order to celebrate deep affection and sweet love.

GUCCI

Gucci has enlisted the new generation actress Wen Qi and singer Ke Yu Zhou as brand ambassadors for their advertising campaign. Inspired by romantic poetry, the two of them lie on a bed of flowers and lush green grass, wearing fashionable items from Gucci’s special Qixi collection, capturing joyful and intimate moments in a captivating image.

Gucci’s Qixi Festival collection covers a variety of fashion items such as clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories, etc., combining fantastical themes with sparkling decorations and vibrant floral patterns. Among them, the brand’s iconic bag styles have been reinterpreted, with Diana imprinted with floral prints, exuding a romantic vintage vibe; the Dionysus handbag is designed with deep red sequins and adorned with two cute strawberries, and there is also a heart-shaped Interlocking G leather handbag, all emitting a fashionable and joyful style.

LOEWE

Loewe interprets the love story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl from a modern perspective. Brand ambassador Wu Lei and model Wang Zhenzhen portray a couple who feel like they are living in different time zones due to their busy lives. When they are alone, they write down a few words and fold the notes into lucky stars, symbolizing how couples nowadays often get lost in the electronic world.     The series is inspired by writing passionate love letters, combining elements of love, romantic poetry, and the Marni logo, presented on a range of items including gender-neutral t-shirts, shirts, and hoodies. The popular Tropicalia bag from the brand also introduces a limited edition design for Qixi Festival, featuring heart-shaped embroidery for a playful touch and a summery atmosphere. The Dada Bumper casual shoes are adorned with minimalist heart-shaped elements on the sides and feature heart-shaped embroidery on the lining, skillfully depicting romantic imagery in the details.

    FENDI

    Fendi presents a colorful limited edition collection for Qixi Valentine’s Day, including clothing, handbags, footwear, and accessories, designed with joy and playfulness, combining tradition and creativity.


    The women’s collection takes inspiration from the iconic Baguette handbag from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection, reinterpreting the colorful FF logo print on the bags and injecting a playful touch throughout the entire collection. The clothing designs play with graffiti style, with the FENDI Mirror logo adorning cropped t-shirts and asymmetric skirts, celebrating exquisite craftsmanship and a playful spirit. As for the men’s collection, the classic Fendi patterns are reimagined in a creative way, with gradient colors embellishing t-shirts and reversible nylon jackets. The Soft Trunk Baguette, Camera Case handbag, and Match sneakers also feature the same gradient color effect, exuding a lively and elegant energy.

    BALENCIAGA

    In addition to a series of limited edition products for the 2023 Qixi Festival, Balenciaga specifically invited renowned photographer Shinichi Tsutsui to shoot a commercial, capturing real couples on the streets of Shanghai. They are dressed in clothing from this collection, confidently showcasing it in the short film and recounting the scene of their first encounter.

    The collection includes a variety of essential items, including t-shirts, hoodies, handbags, and shoes. Among them, the all-black t-shirt is embroidered with the words “Je t’aime” (French: I love you) and a heart-shaped pattern. The classic Hourglass handbag and Marie-Antoinette high heels are adorned with ribbon bows, adding a charming and fashionable touch.
