Telling women’s stories from a female perspective! Miu Miu’s “Women’s Tales” 22nd edition “Me and the Foolish Boy”, discussing the struggle of men and women in relationships.

In the male-dominated film world, the talent and efforts of female film workers are often easily overlooked, and Miuccia Prada has decided to help them out. Since 2011, Miu Miu has been inviting female directors and actresses from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds each spring/summer and autumn/winter to shoot the “Women’s Tales” series of short films for the brand, telling women’s stories from a female perspective through delicate lenses.

In the 22nd edition, the “Women’s Tales” series presents the short film “I And The Stupid Boy” directed by Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania, exploring communication barriers between characters of different personalities, and discussing the various issues and self-worth of young women around the world.

The female protagonist Nora, played by French actress Oulaya Amamra; the film tells the story of her starting a new romance, looking beautiful and young, as she carefully dresses up and takes a shortcut through abandoned buildings to go on a date, her ex-boyfriend Kevin hidden in a secluded spot… Bringing out a story of male and female struggle, desire, and shame in a 21st-century universal love story.

And she wore Miu Miu clothing in the film, also laying the groundwork for the story. Director Kaouther said, “Nora is sexy, pursuing cool beauty. When she is blocked by Kevin, the clothing also exudes a tense atmosphere. I like this kind of contradiction.” Interested friends may enjoy this short film:
