Alexander McQueen has just released its latest 2021 autumn/winter women’s collection, featuring 16 new looks in black, white, and red. The collection focuses on bold silhouettes, combining different materials to continue the brand’s dark romantic style. The brand has also unveiled a new series of advertisements, shot by the famous Italian photographer #PaoloRoversi, using unique compositions, soft lighting, and focus manipulation to create a fashionable atmosphere, presenting the collection with a ethereal and mysterious feel.
In this series, Creative Director Sarah Burton has incorporated the “silver lily” element, which is a type of flower with a very short blooming period. Through fashion, the beauty of this flower is captured and immortalized, showcasing its eternal charm. Each design interprets the beauty of the flower, whether it is enlarged or printed with a blurred effect, it is vivid and infectious. It appears on one-shoulder dresses, midi skirts, and even on sleeves, creating a strong contrast with tough elements like belts and black jackets, perfectly showcasing the brand’s aesthetic style of conflicting yet harmonious beauty.
In addition to the dizzying silver lotus, the series is also embellished with crystal embroidery, shiny lace, and other gorgeous elements, which, in collaboration with Paolo Roversi’s photography, make the styling feel poetic.
