Valentino recently released REDValentino is about to become history. This young secondary line brand, which debuted in 2003, will bid farewell with its clothing and accessories collection in the fall/winter of 2023. All REDValentino operations will come to an end starting in 2024, saying goodbye to fashion enthusiasts as it marks its 20th anniversary!

This move signifies Valentino’s repositioning of the top haute couture brand, and in addition to focusing on a single brand in the future, Valentino has also dropped another bombshell, which is the announcement that the brand will discontinue the use of fur! The Valentino Polar company in Milan will cease production at the end of 2021, and the 2021-2022 autumn/winter collection will be the brand’s final collection containing fur.

Valentino CEO Jacopo Venturini stated that the brand’s stance on fur-free fashion aligns completely with its values, and given the increasing public focus on sustainability in new collections, the brand is actively advancing research on alternative materials and will continue to uphold the brand’s excellence in craftsmanship.
