by

Breguet brings a fresh interpretation to the classic Reine de Naples watch. This timepiece celebrates female charm and pays tribute to outstanding women who dare to create the future. Caroline Murat is one such talented individual. She had a special fondness for the watches made by Abraham-Louis Breguet, collecting over 30 Breguet timepieces. At that time, most women wore watches as long necklaces, but she made a bold and avant-garde request to Abraham-Louis Breguet, asking to order a watch that could be worn on the wrist. In 1810, the founder of Breguet began creating this unique piece, which was the world’s first wristwatch.

The Breguet collection records the history and characteristics of this piece, and the current whereabouts of the watch are now unknown. This delicate egg-shaped wristwatch features an intricately engraved silver dial, as well as multiple complex functions including a minute repeater, moon phase display, and thermometer. The watch is equipped with a bracelet woven from hair and gold thread for wearing on the wrist. Today, the Reine de Naples series presents an elegant interpretation with soft tones, following pink, gray, and white, this series introduces a new addition in mint green, symbolizing hope.

A brand new style featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial, complemented by a dazzling snow-set bezel, the dial is surrounded by a black minute track, inspired by the symbol of the pocket watch designed by Abraham-Louis Breguet. Arabic numerals are presented in two delicate shades of green, creating a dual-layer effect. The watch’s unique serial number is located between 11 and 12 o’clock, ensuring its authenticity. The alligator leather strap is paired with a folding clasp set with 28 brilliant-cut diamonds, making the design even more perfect.
