The biennial Only Watch charity auction, held to support research funding for muscular dystrophy, brings together the world’s top watch brands. Each edition, major brands create special new watch models in order to raise funds. This year, in its tenth edition, Hublot once again collaborates with the art master Takashi Murakami to create the brand’s first central tourbillon wristwatch, the MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon Only Watch.
The watch is inspired by Takashi Murakami’s iconic sunflower, combined with the brand’s expertise in transparent sapphire material watch cases. The tourbillon device is designed in the center of the dial, symbolizing the resilient spirit of children fighting against illness.
The central tourbillon adopts a coaxial structure to display the hour and minute hands, ingeniously allowing the two hands to pass through the tourbillon frame, making the tourbillon appear to be suspended in the air.
