Hermès and Chanel are beloved names for women. These two major brands also participated in the annual Watches and Wonders watch exhibition, let’s take a look at the key new works they brought.
Hermès has launched the Arceau Wow craftsmanship watch, which takes inspiration from the spirited horse comic style. It is made with thin mother-of-pearl to create a double-sided dial, with a hand-painted 20-layer design on the back, showcasing intricate patterned backgrounds. The front of the dial presents a relief effect of the spirited horse and the female protagonist, with vibrant colors and dense pigments, bringing them to life. Each dial takes more than 35 hours to make and is available in two limited edition color schemes of 24 pieces each.
The Chanel J12 has always been a focal point for the brand. This year, the brand has introduced the J12 Cybernetic watch. It features a black high-resistance ceramic and stainless steel case, adorned with pixel-cut white high-resistance ceramic patches and a stainless steel fixed black and white lacquered sapphire crystal bezel. The dial is black with a matte white pixel-painted pattern, and it is equipped with a screw-in white high-resistance ceramic crown. It is powered by the Caliber 12.1 self-winding mechanical movement, co-owned by the brand and Swiss watchmaker Kenissi, and certified by COSC.
