The J12 watch from CHANEL is one of the brand’s classic timepieces, which has been highly sought after by fans since its launch in 2000. However, the brand has not stopped there, but instead continues to seek breakthroughs! In the world of high-end watchmaking, whether it is enlarging or reducing the size of the watch case, it is not an easy task. Recently, CHANEL has welcomed a new challenge by introducing the brand new Calibre 12.2 automatic winding mechanical movement, which is installed in the 33mm J12 watch.
The new Caliber 12.2 automatic winding movement has a power reserve of 50 hours, and all 174 components need to be finely polished and reduced in size to fit within a square inch. With the birth of the new movement, the brand has introduced two J12 Calibre 12.2 Edition 1 watches, one with a white scratch-resistant ceramic case and a white lacquered dial; the other with a black scratch-resistant ceramic case and a black lacquered dial, embodying the brand’s Tone on Tone monochromatic concept.
Both watches are equipped with a long stepped sapphire crystal bezel in the same color as the case, and the crown is set with a diamond of approximately 0.11 carats, each limited to 555 pieces.
