作为中国最有影响力的当代画家，张晓刚最为人熟悉的作品离不开《血缘──大家庭》系列中那些肃穆的人物肖像作品。不过除了集体肖像画作以外，你更要知道画家近年开展的全新创作系列。
在藝術三月，佩斯畫廊於香港空間再度為張曉剛舉辦個展「張曉剛：失重」，展出藝術家過去三年間的新作，其中6幅更是首度於公眾前亮相！
This exhibition is centered around the latest series of oil paintings titled “Light”. The light spots that dominate the composition are hazy and tranquil, yet they never reveal a clear source. In fact, ever since Zhang Xiaogang’s “Big Family” series in the 1990s, this light spot has been accompanying the artist’s exploration of painting, and it has gradually been magnified and pointing towards a certain spiritual hint in his subsequent works.
相对于为张晓刚确立名声的肖像画作，这组新系列聚焦于「静物」这一艺术史的经典主题上，以简洁而鲜明的构图描绘出一幕幕或神秘或肃穆，或荒诞不经的片段情境。对张晓刚而言，被选择为描绘对象的物品总与他的生命经验密切相关。这些安静、平凡的物品时常会散发出属于生命体的意志与欲求，展示了艺术家的生命主体意识。

This exhibition will also include the artist’s latest creations, “Leap No. 6” and “Leap No. 8”. These two paintings are executed with oil paint on canvas and paper respectively, showcasing Zhang Xiaogang’s sensitivity and delicacy when facing different materials. The “Leap” series was officially launched five years ago and has gradually developed into a classic image in the artist’s recent works, appearing in many of his series.
The dynamic feeling brought by the title of the painting does not appear in the picture. On the contrary, the characters seem to be suspended in still air, devoid of a clear sense of upward or downward direction, as if experiencing weightlessness. The artist weaves the current turmoil and the eternal dilemma of the human soul into absurd and surreal stage scenes, just like an allegorical poem of the times.
