American artist Jonathan Casella has been invited by WOAW Gallery to hold his first solo exhibition in Asia, titled “Pink Diamond Too.”
The exhibition showcases the ongoing “Doublestar” series by the artist, as well as paintings created from carefully selected images and flowers from California, reflecting on the artist’s personal experiences and reflections.
As the title of the exhibition suggests, the works in “Pink Diamond Too” are clearly linked together by the color pink, and the artist uses this color to subvert our logic, captivating and leading people into his paradise. Although the existence of pink diamonds is ambiguous, they are both a tangible object of desire and an abstract concept.
