Singapore’s new architectural landmark! The “Vertical Garden” with a futuristic design sense.

A residential project in Singapore has recently attracted a lot of attention, and that is none other than Park Nova, completed this year. The building’s unique design immediately sparked discussions, with its striking irregular shape surrounded by lush greenery, resembling a vertical garden, giving it a futuristic design reminiscent of a building from another world!

Park Nova is designed by the London-based PLP Architecture firm, with floors presenting an irregular shape inspired by the graceful form of a butterfly. The bottom of the building is supported by several slender columns, making the building appear lighter and maximizing natural shading and ventilation. In addition, each unit is surrounded by dense flowers and shrubs, with plants cascading down from the balconies, giving the building a fresh feeling of being surrounded by greenery, which is refreshing to the eyes!

Designers hope to create residential buildings that incorporate plants, allowing city dwellers who are usually surrounded by “concrete” to have contact with nature. Urbanites lead busy lives, often only having the opportunity to go to the countryside on vacation. Now, nature is directly integrated into daily life, improving quality of life and strengthening the connection between people and nature.

Don’t think that Park Nova only has a sophisticated and fashionable appearance. In fact, the interior design of the residence is also very profound. The building is 21 stories high, offering a total of 56 independent units ranging in size from 133 to 548 square meters. Each floor also has public gardens and clubhouse facilities, providing more space for interaction among residents. Each unit benefits from the exterior design, achieving cross ventilation and avoiding direct sunlight, while also making good use of natural light indoors to reduce energy consumption. In addition, the balcony space provided in each unit allows residents to enjoy a 270-degree view of the cityscape, making this design of independent units with their own viewing platform truly unique.

Park Nova presents a natural building design, with its curved shape and green elements making it stand out from the crowd of high-rise buildings. Successfully balancing urban development and environmental conservation, the designers have created a magnificent residential building that combines architectural aesthetics with environmental principles. If more buildings like this “urban garden” were to enter the city, they would definitely bring a fresh atmosphere to the community filled with high-rise buildings!
