When you think of a desert as just a barren land, a mysterious house appears in the desert of Joshua Tree, California, USA! The most unique thing about this house is that it blends into the desert, just like its name “Invisible Mirror House”!
Don’t get me wrong, the Invisible Mirror House is not a mirage in the desert, it is a real house and even a vacation destination! Designed by architect Tomas Osinski and renowned film producer Chris Hanley, the rectangular structure supported by cylindrical concrete columns is covered with a curtain of one-way reflective glass on all exterior walls, reflecting the desert landscape and seamlessly blending into the surroundings.
The area of the Invisible Mirror House is approximately 5,500 square feet, with solar panels on the roof. Inside, there is a 100-foot indoor swimming pool, with an open kitchen and a movie screen at either end of the pool. Additionally, there is a dining area, bedrooms, shower rooms, etc. The interior design and furniture are mainly in a stylish and minimalist style, with glass materials used in the shower rooms and bed frames, maintaining an overall sense of style.
People who come here can spend a leisurely vacation in this “secluded from the world” place, quietly meditating, doing yoga, relaxing body and mind. Even just sitting indoors, you can admire the endless desert scenery through the glass, or even gaze at the stars. It seems like a pretty good choice for a vacation!
