Florentijn Hofman’s new work! Giant fox appears in the Netherlands!

Do you remember the yellow rubber duck that once swam in Victoria Harbour? The father of this rubber duck that brought us good memories, Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, has just released his latest work! Also themed around giant animals, but this time the animal is “swimming on the water and walking into the city”!

Florentijn Hofman’s new work is called “Bospolder Fox,” a giant fox with a total length of 16 meters, cute and adorable in appearance, and is currently located in the southern city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, becoming the most eye-catching and newest art hotspot in the area!

The most special thing about this “Lost Fox in the City” Bospolder Fox is that it is actually holding a plastic bag. Florentijn Hofman hopes to highlight the conflict between urban and nature through this. Where the plastic bag in the fox’s mouth came from, Florentijn Hofman did not provide detailed explanations, but instead hopes that everyone will consider multiple possibilities and reflect on the imbalance between humans and nature.

With adorable animal shapes, Florentijn Hofman brings a topical installation. Following the Rubber Duck, he once again sparks discussion with the lost city fox. Hopefully, everyone will have the opportunity to check in with this “Bospolder Fox” and also remember Florentijn Hofman’s original intention, reflecting on the relationship between humans and nature!
