今个圣诞除了节日派对之外，不妨参观深水埗 Parallel Space 的展览，细看一个关于猫和春天的香港故事。香港绘本艺术家猫珊 Maoshan Connie 带来了她的个人作品展，而其全新绘本《通往大屿山的慢船上》亦于展览期间发布。
貓珊 Maoshan Connie在大學時期主修建築，後來修讀兒童文學。她深信可以通過繪畫和插圖來分享有趣的信息。她創作過一些繪本和藝術作品，包括有關生死教育、樹木保育和智障人士等議題。在2014年，她讓香港人可以給他們心愛的樹寫信，以喚起大家對周圍環境的關注。此外，她曾在越後妻有大地藝術祭上舉辦個人展覽，並在香港、倫敦、劍橋等多個城市展出過她的作品。她還一直在動物慈善機構LAP擔任暫託家庭統籌工作。
她以纯真的绘画风格创作属于本地的大小故事，香港各区城市地图同样为人所熟悉。而是次展览将推出全新绘本《通往大屿山的慢船上》及展出一系列原画，以及从未正式公开展览过的香港社区地图作品。
“Slow Boat to Lantau Island” is inspired by a true story, featuring a cat who lives on a boat and his sailor owner. The story documents their daily lives, contrasting the busyness of modern Hong Kongers with the laziness of the cat, and also includes real scenery from the harbor. “Sea mist” only appears on the surface of the sea, creating a scenery where boats seem to float in the clouds. Every spring, many Hong Kong photographers chase after the sea mist, and you can also take a closer look at this unique scenery in this work.
