Christmas is coming, and wherever you go, there is a strong holiday atmosphere! Major shopping malls and stores have all put on carefully decorated displays to brighten the holiday mood. I believe everyone’s recent itinerary has been occupied by various Christmas-themed check-in spots! In addition to the giant Christmas tree and the white romantic Christmas decorations introduced earlier, two new sparkling and unique Christmas installations have been added recently, which are also must-visit places for this festive season!
//Yau Yat Chuen Gothic Christmas Castle//
Festival Walk has invited Belgian artist Alain Dierick to design a “Gothic Christmas Castle” in the mall atrium for the first time in Hong Kong this year! This Christmas castle, over 12 meters high, is created with over 100,000 sparkling lights, along with an arch-shaped architectural style full of European artistic atmosphere, and a giant crystal chandelier made of lights, exuding luxury and grandeur!
On both sides of the castle, different styles of Christmas decorations are also placed. If you look closely, you will find giant Christmas crystal balls containing giant diamond rings, sparkling crowns, and noble pink crystal shoes as Christmas gifts, along with elegant and exquisite pink gorgeous dance dresses, making everyone feel like they are entering a glamorous Christmas ball.
Don’t miss the other check-in spots on the same floor besides this glittering Christmas castle, including the starlight tunnel decorated with shimmering Christmas ornaments, a 3-meter-tall giant Christmas ball photo area, and a gorgeous stage. The magnificent garden on the G floor is specially equipped with sparkling carriages and harps, beautiful and romantic! When taking photos for check-ins, you can also scan the “Kiss Virtual Santa Claus” QR code next to the Christmas decorations to try out Facebook and Instagram’s limited-time dynamic filters!
In addition, another city will also bring the “Sparkling Splendor” magical performance, featuring international performance teams performing a series of high-difficulty acrobatics, as well as inviting professional jazz musicians and singers to bring the “Melodious Music” concert, playing Christmas music on the spot, allowing everyone to feel the holiday atmosphere.

//Starry Street Community Eco-Friendly Festival Decorations//
In addition to tasting delicious food in Star Street, Wan Chai, you can also admire a series of sparkling decorations! This year, Star Street District draws inspiration from nature and collaborates with AaaM Architects to design Christmas installations. Using hand-woven “rattan,” a natural and environmentally friendly material, the decorations are created by twisting and enlarging Christmas elements in an abstract and unique eco-friendly Christmas setting!
The area is decorated with different eco-friendly Christmas lights. When stepping into the Star Street neighborhood from Queen’s Road East, you will first see a dazzling “Milky Way” that stretches 30 meters long! This special installation is created with curved flowing Christmas vine decorations and lights, full of a strong holiday atmosphere. In addition, there is also a 6-meter-high Christmas tree, equally dazzling, so while taking photos, you may as well carefully appreciate the exquisite hand-woven craftsmanship.
Climb up the steps along the diagonal path to Star Street, where there is a huge Christmas hat installation! Behind the hat, there are rattan meteor lights dancing, which is eye-catching and complements the lush green environment in the area!
