When it comes to winter skiing trips, many people immediately think of Hokkaido, Japan! The brand new international boutique hotel, Nozo Hotel, has recently opened in the ski resort town of Furano in Hokkaido. If you love traveling to Japan, you might want to bookmark this new hotel!
The Nozo Hotel is just a three-minute walk from the Furano Ski Resort’s Kitanomine area, which boasts the best quality powder snow. In terms of location alone, it is very convenient. To reach the Nozo Hotel, you can take an international flight directly to New Chitose Airport in Sapporo, which is a two-hour drive from the hotel. Alternatively, you can take a domestic flight from Tokyo or Osaka to the nearest Asahikawa Airport, and then take a one-hour car ride.
The hotel has a maximum of five floors, with a stylish and cozy design, and offers 78 rooms. The superior and deluxe rooms are suitable for two guests, while the larger family rooms and small suites are suitable for families. The design follows a bright and minimalist style, with light wood tones as the main color scheme, and the floors are made of calm gray stone. The bathroom color scheme is primarily blue.
In terms of food, the Noso Hotel’s Shirakaba restaurant offers a casual outdoor terrace and serves Western and Japanese-style buffet breakfast. For lunch, they offer thin-crust pizza, sandwiches, sushi, and local seasonal specialties. As for dinner, they have French-inspired international cuisine, fresh seafood from Hokkaido, premium teppanyaki, and specialty ingredients sourced from nearby farms and ranches.
The hotel also features the cool Cou Cou Bakery, where you can enjoy authentic Japanese hard bread made from freshly baked flour produced in Furano and Biei. If you want to have a small drink, you can go to the family-style Buna Bar and Lounge, which is decorated with a fashionable and nostalgic atmosphere. Here, you can taste popular cocktails, Hokkaido beer, various whiskies, wines from around the world, and locally brewed Japanese sake.
If you want to relax after completing your daily itinerary, there is also a spa center here, which has two Japanese-style baths, one of which is adorned with green trees and has skylights to let natural light into the room. It is also equipped with sauna facilities, providing a comfortable experience.
Other facilities include a children’s entertainment room that offers a variety of toys and games, a fitness room, a coin-operated self-service laundry, ski storage lockers, shops selling daily necessities and Hokkaido souvenirs, as well as ATMs, which are very convenient.
