Since the outbreak of the pandemic, how long has it been since you last traveled abroad? We can only reminisce about past travel photos or experience the taste of traveling through online means. I believe you and I both understand this feeling. The “Air Travel Bubble” plan established between Hong Kong and Singapore last year has recently announced that it will resume on May 26th. The local landmark Gardens by the Bay will kick off this reopening, featuring the world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly’s exhibition “Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom”!
Dale Chihuly, known as the “Master of Glass,” excels in creating translucent art pieces through glass blowing. The exhibition “Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom,” held from May 1 to August 1, features his first large-scale park exhibition in Asia. It will showcase up to 25 large installations, as well as over 80 sculptures and flat works, embellishing Gardens by the Bay with unique contemporary art pieces and adding several photo spots to the garden!
Dale Chihuly’s glass installations are not only magnificent decorations in many hotels, but are also collected and exhibited in museums. In addition to the vibrant colors, his creations are full of vitality and a sense of harmonious balance. The exhibition at Gardens by the Bay showcases glass sculptures of various flowers and plants, blending in with the natural surroundings, creating the most beautiful scenery. Glass artworks displayed on small boats floating on the lake add a playful and eye-catching touch, bringing a new look to Gardens by the Bay.
