The series not only has high discussion value, but also instantly made the American-Japanese actor Mackenyu, who plays the three-sword style swordsman “Zoro,” a sensation! In the live-action version of “One Piece,” Mackenyu Arata plays the role of Zoro, a swordsman who uses three swords. All of the action scenes were done without the use of CG effects, aiming to faithfully recreate the original sword techniques! In order to perfectly portray Zoro’s cool image, Mackenyu Arata not only exercises every day but also hired a personal trainer to sculpt his muscles. At the age of 26, Makkenyu Nitta was born and raised in Los Angeles, USA. At the age of 15, he began his entertainment career in the United States and officially debuted in Japan at the age of 17. He has appeared in a series of Japanese dramas such as “Super Baseball Red Does Not Yield” and live-action adaptations of anime films and series, including “Sword of the Gods,” “Fullmetal Alchemist,” “Saint Seiya,” and “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.” In 2017, Makkenyu Nitta won the “Rookie of the Year” award at the 40th Japan Academy Film Prize for his role in the live-action film “Chihayafuru: Kami no Ku.” Since then, he has steadily established his career and has appeared in nearly 50 works to date.

It is worth mentioning that Shinken Yano was born into a showbiz family. His father is the late Japanese actor, director, producer, and martial artist Shinichi Chiba. He portrayed Xiongba in the film “The Storm Riders” and was nominated for Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards for his performance in this film. Shinken Yano, who speaks fluent English, starred alongside his father Shinichi Chiba in the Hollywood film “Take a Chance” when he was only 15 years old. He also appeared in “Pacific Rim Uprising” in 2018 and recently reached new heights in his acting career with his role as “Zoro” in the live-action version of “One Piece”!
