Best Picture: “Wisdom Tooth”
Best Actress: Liu Yase (“Wisdom Tooth”)

“Incisor” not only won the Best Picture award, but Liu Yase also won the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Wang Tao in the film.

The story is adapted from the well-known crime psychological novel by mainland Chinese author Lei Mi, and the intense physical confrontation scenes have already sparked discussions even with just a short one-minute teaser. From the cinematography, color tones, and soundtrack, it fully showcases the tension and imminent danger.

In terms of casting, Lin Jiadong, the newly crowned Golden Horse Best Actor, will use his restrained and lifelike acting skills to interpret the protagonist’s dark secrets and depict the unstable emotional state with subtlety. He will care for and tolerate his colleague Li Chun while leading him step by step to uncover the truth of the story. Liu Yase and Chiuchi Hiroshi are also pivotal roles in the story, portraying tragic characters marginalized in society. Despite the challenges they face, they each persist in living their lives, receiving high praise for their acting skills.

Best Director: Chan Muk-sing (“Raging Fire”)

The late director Chan Muk Sing won the Best Director award for “Firestorm”. The story tells of the police setting up a dragnet to catch drug traffickers, only to be ambushed by a group of masked and mysterious bandits known as “Black Eats Black”.
