This new work, hailed as the new version of “Sex and the City,” is called “Emily in Paris” in English. It is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in the fall of 2020. The series is created by “Sex And The City” writer Darren Star, who has cast 31-year-old actress Lily Collins to portray a young woman in her early 20s who is new to the city.
The story follows Emily from Chicago, USA, who, by a stroke of luck, gets a job opportunity to go to Paris, France. In the romantic and fashionable city of Paris, Emily not only has to adapt to cultural differences but also balance friendships and love life. It’s like turning a young girl’s dream into a TV series!
The series began filming in Paris as early as 2019, with lead actress Lily Collins recently posting a photo on Instagram holding the script, as well as a beautiful shot of her under the Eiffel Tower! In several leaked photos, Lily Collins is seen in multiple stylish outfits walking the streets of Paris, each scene rivaling a fashion street shoot, making us really look forward to the day this new series is available on Netflix.
