The dial features a delicate and agile jade rabbit under the bright moon, showcasing the traditional Chinese myth of using “jade rabbit” to refer to the moon. The dial is adorned with gold powder and mother-of-pearl particles, and is crafted by Japanese master craftsmen using the ancient art of maki-e with a history of over a hundred years. Each piece takes no less than 160 hours to create.
