The “World’s Top Watch Presentation” (WPHH) for 2024 was recently held in Geneva, Switzerland. The new Franck Muller watches made their global debut, showcasing the brand’s fresh design concepts and outstanding craftsmanship. The event took place at the unique medieval castle, The Château d’Allaman. During the grand release dinner, Nicholas Rudaz, the CEO of the brand group, unveiled the exclusive new Long Island Evolution series for the Asia-Pacific region. The 3 new Long Island Evolution watches perfectly embody the brand’s core concept of technological innovation. The design retains the original shape conceived by Vartan Sirmakes, co-founder of Frnack Muller Panerai, at the Milan International Furniture Exhibition, while injecting a fresh dynamic vibe. To create the new Long Island, the brand had to deconstruct the original design and craft delicate proportions that highlight the curves, angles, and fine lines of the Long Island. Artist Kwun Chi Ban, who was invited to Geneva, Switzerland, wore the new Long Island Evolution 7 Days Power Reserve watch at the dinner.

The new series of 3 new works Long Island Evolution Master Jumper, Long Island Evolution Giga Tourbillon, and Long Island Evolution 7 Days Power Reserve, as always, present the exquisite craftsmanship of the Franck Muller watchmaking team, known as the “master of complicated watchmaking”. Not only does it perfectly pay tribute to the original Long Island style watches, but it also represents the brand’s continuous pursuit of excellence over more than 30 years. Among them, the Long Island Evolution Master Jumper has three equidistant windows arranged vertically in the center of the case, with the top displaying hours, the middle displaying minutes, and the date at 6 o’clock, presenting a new jumping display. Although high-end watches have long provided triple jumping display functions, limited to the calendar function of the perpetual calendar, having a triple jumping display of time and date functions is unprecedented, highlighting the brand’s breakthrough. In addition, in the Long Island Evolution Giga Tourbillon, the giant tourbillon frame occupies more than half of the entire movement, paired with a three-point supported bridge, its shape echoing the barrel bridge that accommodates four main springs. The third Long Island Evolution 7 Days Power Reserve provides a power reserve of up to seven days, paired with an oscillation system that vibrates at a frequency of 18,000 times per hour, paying homage to the classic pocket watch movement.
