Breitling celebrates its 140th anniversary, with sports superstar Erling Haaland as the new face of the brand.

Breitling launches a series of watches, including the Navitimer GMT and Automatic 41, as well as the limited edition self-winding Cosmonaute. Sports superstars Erling Haaland and Giannis Antetokounmpo have become the faces of the Navitimer as Breitling celebrates its 140th anniversary.

When Breitling introduced the design of Navitimer in 1952, the civil aviation field was just beginning, and this watch was widely welcomed by aviation pilots. The Navitimer is equipped with a circular slide rule that allows pilots to make important calculations, such as climb rates and fuel consumption. During the golden age of commercial air travel, Navitimer was the original onboard computer worn on the wrist, making Breitling the “official supplier of world aviation timepieces.” To celebrate the brand’s 140th anniversary, a limited edition 24-hour watch was released. The new version is limited to 250 pieces and is only available for sale on Breitling’s online store and boutiques. The case is made of 18K red gold, paired with a deep green dial, gold numerals, and a black alligator leather strap that complement each other perfectly.

The new advertising series features the Navitimer Action Team composed of basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Misty Copeland, explorer Bertrand Piccard, and Oscar-winning actor and producer Charlize Theron. Football idol Erling Haaland has also joined the team to star in the ad. Erling Haaland has been a Breitling ambassador since 2022, and he is thrilled to become a spokesperson for Navitimer on the brand’s anniversary: “I am very proud to represent the iconic timepiece of Breitling. This year, when people see how many ‘firsts’ Breitling has, they will be amazed. This brand has completely changed the game in many ways.”
