Edison Chen founded CLOT in 2003, combining Eastern and Western cultural creativity under the name “CLOT” to showcase the creative power of the Chinese to the world. To celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary this year, in addition to the “CLOT 20” exhibition held at C·PARK Haisu in Shanghai, a commemorative fashion show titled “Continuing the Past, Inspiring the Future” was also held during Shanghai Fashion Week. Several heavyweight collaborations were announced, including a clothing collaboration with LỰU ĐẠN for the first time.
Chen Guanxi and LỰU ĐẠN met the founder Hung La in London and instantly hit it off. In Hung La’s eyes, Chen Guanxi is a legendary figure and a cross-border celebrity who breaks down the cultural barriers between the East and the West with the brand’s bold design language, paving the way for a new generation of Asian designers. Hung La, on the other hand, is a designer with a strong personality and innovative spirit, known for his bold silhouettes and intricate details.
The collaboration between CLOT and LỰU ĐẠN is a tribute to the journey of Asian men’s growth and a reflection on the development of fashion brands. The two brands blend their respective characteristics to create fashion pieces that are both retro and trendy. The collection includes four looks: a light blue denim jacket paired with snake print Maxi x Maxi x Maxi pants, a motorcycle suit with the names of both brands printed on it, and a Sunday Gangster tracksuit featuring the logos of both brands. The designs are visually striking.
