Valentino Di.Vas first male figure: 7-time F1 World Champion Sir Lewis Hamilton

“Di.Vas” is the theme of Valentino’s latest Valentino Pink PP series advertising campaign, and it also serves as a way for creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli to convey the true message of the campaign – Different Values. As such, the brand also proudly announces the first Di.Vas campaign figure: seven-time F1 world champion, British driver Lewis Hamilton, as the figurehead for the menswear collection.

In March of this year, brand creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli presented the Pink PP collection at Paris Fashion Week, embodying the essence of simplicity symbolized by a single color, attempting to break free from reality, create infinite possibilities, and broaden the creative dimensions. On that day, the legendary racing driver was invited to attend the fashion show, sitting in the Front Row with another brand friend, the rising actress Zendaya, becoming the center of attention.

Pierpaolo Piccioli continues to consciously and gradually attempt to get closer to culture by establishing a real relationship with DI.VAs, allowing the cultural return to truly take place. Each DI.VA plays a key role in maintaining diversity by uniting around a new vision in various aspects such as film, music, literature, and sports. Moreover, with the appearance of different faces, they can all be connected with empathy and contact to form a very modern thread with slogans.

Regarding his collaboration with Valentino, Lewis Hamilton shared: “When we embrace our true selves, wonderful things happen, but when we come together to share our visions, values, and creativity, even greater things happen. I am honored to partner with Creative Director and friend Pierpaolo and the brand Valentino that I have always admired to celebrate the Pink PP collection. I have always strived to work with like-minded teams who are dedicated to making the world a better place, no matter what obstacles we face. Therefore, being able to collaborate with Valentino to create this powerful advertising campaign together is truly special.”

After the announcement, Pierpaolo also shared some feelings about this: “Lewis briefly wrote on his Instagram: ‘Everyone has the right to equality. Love is everything.’ Lewis is an interpreter. He can use his energy to express his true and precious self. The talent he conveys through his entire role far exceeds his athletic excellence and embraces everything he does. … I see him dedicating himself to society with great independence, I see him wearing a pink overall look and personalizing it, I see him chatting and smiling with others in a very relaxed way. By doing anything that makes him happy, he makes us happy. As a witness to DI.VAs, he represents diversity, equality, and most importantly, love. I can’t think of a better friend to participate in this project. It will give people a compassionate, humane, and inspiring message, which will be real, just like the person behind the celebrity.”

The brand has not yet revealed what kind of collaboration they will have with Sir Lewis Hamilton. How will he find time to work with the brand while being busy with the F1 season? Everyone is looking forward to it!
