Gucci’s new Creative Director Sabato De Sarno Milan Show 2024 Fall/Winter Men’s Collection

by

The focus of this season’s men’s fashion week will undoubtedly be on the first men’s collection led by Gucci’s new creative director, Sabato De Sarno. This Gucci Ancora men’s collection is 90% similar to the 2024 spring/summer women’s collection that debuted last September, perfectly echoing the collection’s concept, venue layout, runway music, and clothing interpretations.

Sabato De Sarno basically mirrored last September’s women’s show. Compared to Gucci’s previous extravagant aesthetics, the Gucci led by Sabato De Sarno focuses more on wearability, with seemingly simple and neat designs, but with careful attention to detail; such as the three-dimensional GG logo, or crystal-adorned collars.

The focus on the Tianqiao Bridge is also on the oversized Jackie bag, as well as the Gucci loafers that combine creeper thick soles, giving a much more understated and fresh style. It can better reflect Sabato De Sarno’s alternative interpretation of fashion. As he said, the whole fashion show is a “story about the joy of life, the splendor of passion, full of humanity and about people, reflecting real daily life. The protagonist shows unrestrained charm, teasing temptation, confident radiance, and sincere self, emotions naturally revealed.” Fashion is ultimately just to enrich daily life, and while these items are desirable, they are not meant to be hoarded.
