The perfect ending of Louis Vuitton’s 2024 early autumn menswear show, led by creative director Pharrell Williams, took place in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, against the backdrop of the enchanting Victoria Harbour night view.
Gathering stars from all over the world
Fashion ambassadors and friends from different countries gathered at the fashion show, including Korean actor Song Joong Ki, member Felix from Korean boy group Stray Kids, Japanese actor Hirano Sho, Taiwanese actor Liu Yi Hao and Lin Bo Hong, as well as a group of heavyweight Hong Kong celebrities, including Chow Yun Fat and his wife, Aaron Kwok, Louis Koo, Hins Cheung, Linda Chung, Raymond Lam, Raymond Cho, and Liu Jun Qian, making the scene shine with star power!
Sailing as a theme, vacation as inspiration
Louis Vuitton’s 2024 early autumn menswear collection takes on a nautical theme, drawing inspiration from vacations. The catwalk becomes a long Hawaiian beach, with LED screens creating a wave effect on the ground, creating a vacation atmosphere. Various sailor and surfing elements are incorporated and given a new interpretation. The opening dandy look focuses on sailor uniforms, with navy blue or striped double-breasted suits and naval coats adorned with pearl buttons, paired with sailor hats. In the middle section, more delightful elements appear, with vibrant colors, Hawaiian-style prints, shirts and shorts that exude a vacation vibe, as well as straw hats and fisherman sandals that inject energy into the wearer. The design also incorporates surfing elements, transformed into prints, and there are even surfing shirts and surfboards.
Injecting Surfing Energy into Handbags
The energy and vitality of sailing and surfing are also reflected in the brand’s iconic bags. The new Surfing Monogram collection takes inspiration from the beauty of Hawaii, including the eye-catching Damier Scuba in yellow leather and the new Damier Denim 3D series, which brings a fresh version of the Speedy bag. Hawaiian prints can also be seen on the bags, along with crab charms that echo the theme.

Before Pharrell Williams appeared on stage, there was a drone performance in the night sky, forming waves and then sailing a sailboat representing Hong Kong. Finally, the “LVers” pattern representing the theme of this event was presented, a perfect fusion of Eastern and Western cultures and traditions, bringing this fashion event to a perfect conclusion.
