Jaeger-LeCoultre once again showcases its excellence in watchmaking craftsmanship and love for culture, introducing three new limited edition Reverso Tribute Enamel watches, paying tribute to the Venetian landscape under the brush of Impressionist master Monet. These watches demonstrate Jaeger-LeCoultre’s extraordinary micro-painting and enamel techniques from the Métiers Rares™ Workshop, representing a perfect fusion of watchmaking art and artistic creativity.

Honoring Monet’s Venice Paintings

Monet’s “Venice Series” paintings capture the unique light and architectural beauty of Venice with delicate brushstrokes, earning admiration from art enthusiasts. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Tribute Enamel collection, with its timeless design and exquisite miniature enamel craftsmanship, brings Monet’s Venetian paintings to the back of the watch, turning it into a piece of art on the wearer’s wrist.

These three watches feature Monet’s most representative Venetian-themed paintings, including “San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk,” “The Grand Canal of Venice,” and “The Doge’s Palace.” The enamel decoration process for each watch takes more than 70 hours, showcasing Jaeger-LeCoultre’s respect and pursuit of art through exquisite details and intricate craftsmanship.

Recreating the beauty of Venice’s light and architectural changes

The first watch, “San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk,” recreates the beautiful scenery of San Giorgio Maggiore as depicted by Monet under the setting sun. The blue grand feu enamel dial of the watch matches the tone of the micro-painted dial, with the barleycorn twist pattern composed of 120 fine lines, each line requiring 3 engravings, totaling 360 lines. The entire production process takes 8 hours, perfectly echoing the decorative art style of the Reverso series.

The second watch “Venice Grand Canal” takes the afternoon scenery of the Grand Canal as its theme. Through a semi-transparent light green grand feu enamel dial, it reproduces the sparkling effect of the waves. The enamel process takes 70 hours, and the wave-shaped hand-twisted decoration on the dial also requires 8 hours of meticulous workmanship, as if allowing the wearer to immerse in the waterside of Venice, experiencing the flow of light and shadow.

The third watch, “Palais des Gouverneurs,” reproduces the scene of the Palais des Gouverneurs as depicted by Monet in the morning light. The diamond-shaped twisted rope pattern of this watch presents a rich effect of light and shadow at different angles. The geometric decoration on the dial, made up of 981 lines, requires 4,905 manual operations, taking 8 hours to complete. It harmonizes with the multi-layered translucent blue grand feu enamel, showcasing an unparalleled sense of exquisite beauty.

The perfect fusion of exquisite craftsmanship and art

These three Reverso Tribute Enamel “Venice Series” enamel watches not only showcase Jaeger-LeCoultre’s watchmaking craftsmanship at its finest but also embody the brand’s support for art and culture. Each watch is limited to 10 pieces, paying tribute to the host city of the Homo Faber biennial exhibition, Venice, highlighting Jaeger-LeCoultre’s outstanding efforts in promoting artistic creativity and craft heritage.
