TAG Heuer announces a collaboration with Universal Pictures for the movie “The Fall Guy Stunt Player,” set to be released on May 3, 2024. The film stars TAG Heuer brand ambassador Ryan Gosling, who plays a seasoned and battle-worn stunt performer. As the official watch sponsor of this film, TAG Heuer will continue its unique relationship with Ryan Gosling, who will be wearing the iconic TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph watch in the movie.
In “The Fall Guy,” Ryan Gosling plays the working-class hero Colt Seavers, who gets caught up in a conspiracy in the film industry, forced to juggle his daily job while searching for a missing movie star, unraveling the conspiracy, and trying to win back his ex-girlfriend’s heart. The movie showcases unprecedented high-intensity stunts, including the male lead surfing across the Sydney Harbour Bridge with just a metal plate. To achieve all this, the classic TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph watch is able to meet the demands of this speed, designed specifically for those who seek high speed and high-pressure environments. Ryan Gosling’s stuntman character and his watch perfectly embody TAG Heuer’s motto: “Don’t crack under pressure.”
The relationship between TAG Heuer and brand ambassadors is unique. Two years before the movie started filming, Ryan Gosling had discussions with TAG Heuer to find the perfect watch for his stuntman hero character. The watch needed to be sophisticated and stylish, yet able to withstand the dangerous roles of daily work. Only one timepiece could accomplish this task – the new TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph watch. The top of the case is equipped with a domed sapphire crystal, reminiscent of watches from the 1970s, but redesigned seamlessly integrating the tachymeter scale around the edge of the dial into the case. The result is a more elegant watch that is easier to read at a glance. In the film, Ryan Gosling’s character Colt Seavers wears the latest, more dynamic black and silver dial style, paired with a perforated floral calfskin strap, perfect for those who know how to express themselves.
