To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the launch of the first supercar by Ferrari – the Ferrari GTO, the Prancing Horse brand will hold the grand “2024 Ferrari GTO Heritage Tour” from October 1st to 5th, 2024. Following the Ferrari F40 Heritage Tour in 2023, this is another carefully planned heritage series event by the brand, which will lead Ferrari GTO owners through the magnificent scenery of the Dolomites in Italy, embarking on a picturesque and poetic driving experience journey.
The highlights of this event include starting from the Lendaner Valley, admiring the natural beauty of the Dolomites along the way, and finally arriving at the birthplace of Ferrari, Maranello. On the iconic Fiorano track in Maranello, a unique tour event will be held, showcasing not only the power and aesthetics of the Ferrari GTO but also symbolizing the extraordinary significance of the Ferrari supercar heritage.
In 1984, the Ferrari GTO made its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show, quickly becoming a classic with its powerful V8 turbocharged engine, Pininfarina-designed lines, and advanced composite body. This car was not only Ferrari’s first model with a longitudinal layout twin-turbo V8 engine, but also a tribute to the legendary car of the early 1960s – the Ferrari 250 GTO. Although initially planned to produce 200 units to meet racing certification, the final production reached 272 units, proving its extraordinary charm and status.
The Ferrari GTO heritage tour is not only a tribute to this legendary sports car, but also a fascinating retrospective of the prancing horse brand’s history. For GTO owners who are eager to experience the charm of Ferrari supercars firsthand, this will be an unforgettable journey.
