Yohji Yamamoto’s men’s sub-line, Y’s for Men, was born in 1979. Unfortunately, it went bankrupt and closed between 2009 and 2010, but it was later integrated into the Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME sub-line. Last year, Y’s for Men made its debut at Paris Fashion Week under Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME. The clothing was not only designed by the original team, but also made with exquisite fabrics and meticulous tailoring, creating garments with Yohji Yamamoto’s characteristic silhouette.
The 2023 Autumn/Winter collection focuses on practicality and a refined everyday wearing experience. It extensively uses selected fabrics such as checkered tweed, striped wool, and flowing silk. Some garments are adorned with zigzag decorative stitching to highlight unique details, embellishing trousers and slim-fit jackets, wide-leg pants, and single-breasted checkered jackets.
For the “Yohji loyal fans”, of course, it is a joy to see Y’s for Men make a comeback. Recently, the brand has once again brought good news – the brand’s autumn/winter collection will be showcased for a limited time at the Yohji Yamamoto K11 MUSEA flagship store, starting from today, and this collection will be sold for a limited two-week period.
