This year marks the 75th anniversary of Porsche’s establishment, and the iconic 911 series of sports cars has just celebrated its 60th birthday. To commemorate these two milestones, the Hong Kong distributor has recently launched two special edition models, the 911 GT3 RS and 911 Sport Classic.
The new generation of the 911 GT3 RS is the most performance-oriented “street-legal 911” currently available. It is equipped with a 4.0-liter upgraded naturally aspirated engine, with maximum horsepower increased to 525. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.2 seconds. It also incorporates a large number of race-inspired details and accessories, such as the adjustable DRS rear wing, which appears for the first time on a Porsche production model, and lightweight carbon fiber components throughout the body to enhance high-speed driving and stability even during fast laps on the racetrack.
And the 911 Sport Classic is a special limited edition version released to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 911 series. Only 1250 units are produced worldwide, and it incorporates various detailed features from different generations of the 911 (such as the “ducktail spoiler”). It is equipped with a 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged engine (with a horsepower of 550) and a 7-speed manual transmission, making it the most powerful manual transmission 911 currently available.
