For many men, vintage sports cars and retro watches are extremely attractive. In the 1960s, Breitling launched the Top Time chronograph watch inspired by sports cars, which not only became popular at that time but also appeared on the big screen. In the 1965 film “Thunderball,” James Bond wore a Top Time watch. This year, Breitling pays tribute to the classic sports cars of the 1960s once again and introduces the Top Time Classic Cars collection in collaboration with four legendary sports cars.
The newly launched 4 watches are all inspired by car designs, including the collaboration with Ford to launch the new Thunderbird watch, as well as the new Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette, and Shelby Cobra chronograph watches. The designs of the 4 watches all incorporate the colors and logos of these classic cars; in addition, they have all been equipped with the brand’s self-made 01 movement, providing a comprehensive upgrade to these classic timepieces.
The Ford Thunderbird model is equipped with a red strap and a sleek white dial, with a striking green “Thunderbird” logo and red chronograph hands. On the other hand, the Ford Mustang model features a green and black dial with red and yellow accents on the hands and bezel.
The Chevrolet Corvette watch features a purple main color, while the Shelby Cobra watch uses the iconic blue and white colors. On the back of the watch, you can see the intricate mechanical structure through the transparent sapphire crystal case back. The movement provides 70 hours of power reserve and comes with a 5-year warranty, as well as being certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). The watch is paired with a perforated leather racing strap, a tachymeter scale, and contrasting squircle-shaped subdials that resemble vintage instruments.
