Although Rimowa and adidas Originals both originated in Germany, they have had little interaction with each other apart from their geographical connection. Recently, the two finally came together to launch their first collaborative collection, featuring their signature products: aluminum backpacks and adidas NMD_S1 sneakers.
The collaboration series is designed for travel enthusiasts, with a focus on practical design to meet the needs of outdoor and travel activities. The backpack is made of Rimowa’s iconic grooved aluminum, and comes with a variety of thoughtful features, including climbing hooks, padded shoulder straps, load-bearing ropes, and handles. Inspired by adidas BOOST, the grooves of the backpack are covered with foam material to ensure comfort, and there is an elastic band in the middle to connect the top of the backpack for easy carrying.
The backpack is specially designed with expandable linings on both sides, allowing users to fully open the backpack for easy packing and organizing. It also features zippered pockets for convenient storage, as well as a 16-inch laptop compartment with two brand logos engraved on it.
As for the collaborative sports shoes, they are specifically designed for modern lifestyle, with a futuristic touch. The lightweight Primeknit upper provides extreme flexibility and coverage, paired with the brand’s patented Boost cushioning midsole and NMD laces.
