Paul Smith is the official collaboration brand of Manchester United, providing suits for the team’s match days, and recently collaborated with adidas to launch a limited edition three-way collaboration Stan Smith.
The shoe design retains the complete prototype of the Stan Smith tennis shoes first released in 1965, while injecting Paul Smith’s consistent playful style: the shoe body is made of cloud white premium leather, with the Stan Smith and Paul Smith joint embossed logos on the left and right tongues respectively, and their names printed on both sides of the shoe body.
As for the iconic symbol representing Manchester United, it appears on the heel tab of the shoe, while the team’s red, white, and gray stripes are cleverly displayed on the insole, inner side of the tongue, and the end of the laces, showcasing intricate details in a subtle design. By the way, the sneakers are globally limited to 1946 pairs, as both Paul Smith and Stan Smith were born in 1946, making it significant.
