Yohji Yamamoto, also known as the “Black Poet,” has recently shown great appreciation for the streetwear brand New Era. Following their previous collaboration, they have recently launched a new joint series.
This time, continue with the iconic black as the main theme, items include T-shirts, fisherman hats, and 9THIRTY caps, among them, adding eye-catching “YOHJI” white embroidered lettering, creating a sharp contrast.
As for the signature logo and the design on the T-shirt, they are inspired by Yohji Yamamoto’s 2013 installation art “Art Complex by Yohji Yamamoto A Beauty Looking Back”, specifically the “Mikaeri Bijin” artwork, evoking the beauty of ukiyo-e art from the Edo period.
