TAG Heuer showcased the new classic Monaco series watch created in collaboration with partner Gulf at this year’s Watches and Wonders, combining the essence of both parties to highlight Gulf’s legendary colors and the brand’s design charm, bringing collectors a surprise.
This special edition watch is the first in the same series to be equipped with the Heuer 02 movement made by the watch factory. The sleek Gulf-themed accents are concentrated on the dial, combining with the elegant aesthetics of the Monaco series watches; these details can also be seen on the minute counter at 3 o’clock, with three color combinations appearing for the first time on the series watch chronograph dial.
The watch continues Gulf’s three classic color themes, using a vibrant deep blue, blue-green, and orange with a contemporary feel; the balance wheel and pallet fork specially created for this watch can be seen from the back of the watch, uniquely engraved, with colors matching Gulf’s orange theme. The strap is made of perforated blue calfskin with orange lining, injecting a sense of movement into the watch.
The brand invited Golden Bell Award-winning actor Mark Chao to demonstrate. He paired the simple black and white outfit to highlight the dynamic yet elegant design of this square watch.
