New York contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, known for reshaping various everyday items with cultural significance using materials like concrete and plaster, has a strong futuristic style that has made him a favorite among trendsetters. Recently, he teamed up with Archive Editions to open a pop-up store at BELOWGROUND in Central, showcasing his latest work, Arsham RSA, for the first time globally.
Daniel Arsham is a car enthusiast, so the design inspiration for Arsham RSA’s space and capsule series comes from the custom-made Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 in 1973, which features a light yellow exterior with light blue accents and warm corduroy brown interior.
The limited-time store simultaneously launches a limited series inspired by the appearance and interior of legendary sports cars. The series consists of a range of clothing and accessories, including exclusive T-shirts, long-sleeved tops, and hoodies. Other highlights include tote bags, ashtrays, and CASETiFY iPhone cases, showcasing neutral and vibrant tones, and reinterpreting Arsham RSA’s signature and related graphics.
