Tattoo Car Art Project: Toyota collaborates with tattoo artist Mirmanda Cheung to depict an ideal world with whales and cranes.

by

Tattooing is not only a form of body art, but also a cultural symbol of the new generation, with its unique lines and images permeating different levels and becoming an indispensable element of contemporary art. Recently, Toyota’s C-HR model collaborated with local tattoo artist Mirmanda Cheung to create the first tattoo car art project in Hong Kong, “Artistic Journey Dynamic Hybrid C-HR”, interpreting the relationship between heaven and sea, day and night, light and darkness on the C-HR body with her depictions of whales and red-crowned cranes.

The first “Artistic Journey Dynamic Hybrid C-HR” project in Hong Kong uses the C-HR body as a canvas, requiring composition and techniques to match the angular and skeletal lines of the body, making it quite challenging; whales and red-crowned cranes are the protagonists of this collaborative project, seemingly two different environmental lifestyles, different types of existence, yet they share the same desire: their characteristics constantly migrate in search of a vision that can accommodate the unity of the world, feeling the rotation of the earth, optimistically embracing the hope for life, silently watching the world change.

From the overall composition of the car, you can appreciate the transition from day to night, from light to darkness, seeing the intertwining and harmony of whales and red-crowned cranes, their calls and dashes, like the smooth alternation and electric conversion of Toyota Hybrid technology. As for the black roof of the Toyota C-HR logo, it serves as a backdrop for the night sky, complemented by stars, black holes, and other embellishments, while the red-crowned crane leisurely soars next to the tattoo symbolizing hope and the red dot of the sun, making the “auspicious bird” a highlight in the dark night.
