H. Moser & Cie. collaborates with UNDEFEATED to create a special edition Streamliner watch.

Recently, the watch industry has once again heard another major news, once again a brand collaboration, once again a cross-border cooperation. The difference is that this time it is the Swiss traditional watch brand H. Moser & Cie. Henry Mushi, and it has encountered the well-known American streetwear brand UNDEFEATED, jointly launching a special version of the Streamliner Chronograph, paying tribute to the latter’s long-standing Play Dirty slogan.

First, let’s introduce the watch. This time, the special version of the Streamliner Chronograph is launched, the design still retains the 42.3mm diameter cushion-shaped case, but for the first time, stainless steel is used, and covered with a carbon gray DLC coating, making its geometric curves and ergonomic structure more prominent.

Another key point, the smoked dial that has been the focus of the Moser Streamliner series in the past, adopts UNDEFEATED’s favorite camouflage black tiger stripe smoked dial; after the pattern is engraved on the dial, craftsmen need to apply multiple layers of paint to gradually color it, and they need to perform surface finishing on the paint surface to perfectly present the iconic smoked effect of H. Moser & Cie. Gray scales surround the edge of the dial, with the outer minute track measuring seconds and the inner minute track calculating minutes. The black rhodium-plated stainless steel UNDEFEATED logo at the 12 o’clock position perfectly complements the three applied numerals, while the light gray Moser brand name is adorned just below.

The original Streamliner used to only feature a stick-shaped design for the markers. However, this collaboration version with UNDEFEATED now uses the “four straight and one slant” responsive UNDEFEATED logo at 12 o’clock, while the 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock positions are designed with “369” layout. Additionally, the original silver hour and minute hands, as well as the red chronograph seconds hand, have been replaced with three-dimensional curved hands, each embedded with carbon gray Globolight® inserts made of innovative ceramic base material Super-LumiNova® luminescent material.

In addition to design, in terms of movement configuration, the Streamliner Chronograph special edition is equipped with the HMC 902 chronograph movement developed jointly by AGENHOR and Moser teams. Despite the extremely complex design, the movement is still built with simplicity, readability, and minimalism as its core, and is equipped with a practical and ergonomic central time display, maintaining a water resistance depth of 120 meters as standard, with a power reserve of approximately 54 hours.

Regarding this collaboration with UNDEFEATED, Moser CEO Edouard Meylan shared: “We were asked by UNDEFEATED to use DLC on this piece. They wanted a bold, strong, and vibrant watch that would gradually emit an antique sheen over time.” It sounds like a challenging production requirement, but it resonates with Moser’s brand spirit of constantly seeking innovation.

What is not known is that the idea for this collaboration with H. Moser & Cie. actually came from Eric Cheng – one of the partners of UNDEFEATED. This heavyweight figure who has taken the brand to new heights, and is also a collector of H. Moser & Cie. watches, proactively approached Edouard Meylan for collaboration. He said, “H. Moser & Cie. does not follow conventional practices and beliefs, they are basically the UNDEFEATED of the watchmaking industry. The brand’s bold innovation and timeless transcendence are its two greatest advantages. It is a very inspiring and creative brand, so we decided to contact Edouard and his team.”

In addition to watches, this time UNDEFEATED has collaborated with H.Moser & Cie. to launch a capsule collection, including a Moser clock and an exclusive “Friends & Family” limited edition jacket developed by UNDEFEATED.

The special version of the Streamliner Chronograph will be available on June 22 at UNDEFEATED stores and online, as well as on H.Moser & Cie.’s e-commerce platform, with a limited production of 76 pieces, priced at HKD $435,000.
