Since its debut last October, the collaborative series between cashmere aristocrat, Italian brand Loro Piana, and Japanese fashion guru Hiroshi Fujiwara has launched its second wave of products for Spring/Summer 2022. In Hong Kong, a limited-time store was recently opened at Pacific Place, inviting a group of fashionistas to showcase the series in advance.
Continuing the creative concept of the first phase, Loro Piana featuring Hiroshi Fujiwara’s spring/summer capsule collection continues to focus on neatness, minimalism, and noble style as its core, blending the essence of street style concepts with the brand’s expertise in fabric design and exquisite texture. In terms of design, the main idea is to create energetic clothing and essential accessories, using Fujiwara’s signature colors – white, black, and navy blue – as the main theme, and integrating Loro Piana’s top-notch fabrics and meticulous details, reinterpreting the brand’s DNA through his creative vision.
The series continues to feature silk-cotton tops, cotton pique knit cardigans, patterned T-shirts, and cashmere-silk large polka dot carré shawls; among them, the multi-color striped pattern in the series is inspired by the luggage used by Loro Piana salespeople to carry fabric samples from the 70s to the 90s, as well as the iconic patterns in the first wave, symbolizing the “animal” genes of the two major brands, the horse pattern designed by artist Ulala Imai, and the graffiti-style logo of Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design logo once again becoming key elements of this series. In terms of fabric materials, highlights still include cashmere, pique knit fabric, and silk-cotton fabric, with the patented Storm System® waterproof and breathable membrane also being incorporated, embodying a refined and casual contemporary style.
This time, the brand will once again land in Hong Kong to hold a limited store, inviting many fashionistas to demonstrate the series of clothing first, including COLLAR member Day, musician Tyson Yoshi, and Chow Kwok-yin.
And a few fashion representatives in the city, such as Jeffrey Wei Junsheng, Kayan9896 Wu Jiaxin, etc., interpret the avant-garde spirit and minimalist aesthetics of the new series through each unique personal style, highlighting the pure essence of Japanese culture and the elegant charm of the Loro Piana brand in the series.
The Loro Piana X Hiroshi Fujiwara 2022 Spring/Summer capsule collection is now available for purchase at selected Loro Piana boutiques in Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, as well as at the newly launched official online store hk.loropiana.com.
