When it comes to Dior Men led by Kim Jones, in addition to paying attention to the new season releases, the regular Tailoring series that showcases Maison Dior’s half-century of fashion craftsmanship is also not to be missed. In fact, you can learn about the contemporary evolution of men’s formal tailoring from it. Recently, the brand launched its latest men’s Tailoring collection, once again showcasing the brand’s tailoring art, and personally demonstrated by several brand friends at several recent award ceremonies.
Integrating the craftsmanship of high fashion into different collections has become the core idea of Kim Jones since taking office, and even in recent seasons. He passionately continues to reinterpret the art of tailoring with exquisite and unique feelings, blending DIOR’s iconic fashion foundation with his own contemporary vision. Fashion and daily life are closely intertwined, becoming the essence of Dior Men under Kim Jones. These extraordinary works are designed to be part of men’s daily lives – whether casual or formal wear, they present a variety of looks through bold dialogues. For example, the tailcoat remains a must-have in men’s formal wear, reimagined into a bold and elegant new silhouette after referencing the agility of sportswear. Workwear continues to be favored by Kim Jones, showcasing an urban attitude in this category of clothing, which can still be seen in the collection this season. The third style focuses on details, enhancing the comfort of formal wear with zipper styles. Creating this timeless wardrobe makes Dior Men’s clothing a suitable choice for all occasions, from casual to more refined tailoring, highlighting Dior’s craftsmanship values.
Dubbed the “British Oscars,” the BAFTA Awards ceremony was recently held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. British young actor Harris Dickinson, a contender for the “EE Rising Star Award,” wore a black wool tailcoat from the Dior menswear collection, paired with a black cotton jacquard shirt featuring the Dior Oblique pattern, jewelry from the 22-23 Winter Men’s Collection, and black derby ankle boots. Presenting awards at the event was Jonathan Bailey from the popular series “Bridgerton,” dressed in a black Officer Collar Jacket inspired by workwear, paired with a shirt, black trousers, a black silk bow tie, and patent leather Derby shoes.
In addition, another British male star, Benedict Cumberbatch, who was nominated for “Best Actor” at multiple award ceremonies this year for “The Power of the Dog,” has also worn Dior Men’s Tailoring suits at the Art Directors Guild Awards and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, showcasing two different tailored looks.
