Designed by Givenchy’s Creative Director Matthew M. Williams, the futuristic Cut-Out handbag, which made another striking appearance in FW21, has recently been officially released in its entirety.
The MMW ideology with a unique personal perspective has been reimagined in the Cut-Out handbag, appearing more avant-garde and bold, with sharp angular lines that fully showcase the brand’s aesthetic tradition. This classic V-shaped handbag for this autumn and winter season is now crafted with embossed lambskin inspired by antique car seat patterns, showcasing a leading edge in fashion charm. MMW, who has been eager to bring new experiments to Givenchy since taking office, has applied a brand new processing technique to the Cut-Out, using complex high-frequency wave technology to shape the handbag with a unique and fashionable vibe.
The new Cut-Out handbag for FW21 is equipped with a unique silver G-Cube chain designed by Matthew M. Williams, and the brand has also introduced for the first time a G-Cube long chain specifically for crossbody use, enhancing the practicality of the handbag while allowing for different styling options. The new Cut-Out soft leather handbag series is available in mini and small sizes, with a choice of black matte soft padded lambskin or light purple soft padded patent leather materials, as well as sleek black or chestnut smooth calfskin styles with a delicate sheen. It is evident that the Cut-Out handbag, which made its debut at the FW21 fashion show, fully showcases MMW’s determination to bring a unique new DNA to Givenchy.
In addition, Givenchy Hong Kong has invited several Hong Kong artists to model the Cut-Out handbags, including MIRROR member Anson Lo, Hip-Hop musician Tyson Yoshi, singer Jace Chan, and actresses Hanna Chan and Sofiee Ng, showcasing the unique design of Cut-Out while expressing strong and distinct personalities through their backgrounds.
