In recent years, the legendary camera Leica has been crossing boundaries frequently, collaborating with brands from different industries to launch joint series. Recently, it has even entered the Japanese toy world for the first time, collaborating with Medicom Toy to introduce a new member to the BE@RBRICK family – the Leica x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK “M” series.
The toy is designed by the creative brand 3125C, with its team’s chief designer Mike Lam and Leica camera designer David Suh collaborating on the design. The design is based on the classic Leica M series camera, with its black and silver color scheme complementing each other, and the front of the “bear body” is printed with the red Leica logo, which is quite eye-catching.
Leica x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK “M” series is available in 1000%, 400%, and 100% sizes, with the 1000% priced at $6880; the 400% and 100% are sold in a set for $3480, and these two sizes of sets also come with a Leica exclusive custom camera strap and a multifunctional camera case.
Leica x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK “M” series will be released in Hong Kong on August 21; interested friends can register for a lucky draw on the brand’s page from August 9 to 15. Winners will be notified for confirmation on August 17 to 18.
