The brand recently launched a new writing tool series Montblanc Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days inspired by the journey in “Around the World in Eighty Days”, depicting Phileas Fogg’s first 18 days of travel around the world. The three writing instruments include Le Grand and Classique, inspired by the voyage from the Suez Canal to Mumbai in the novel, designed with a theme of deep blue and wave patterns, with pen clips adorned with glossy black spade ace patterns, and a Solitaire with a gold-plated nib adorned with a hot air balloon pattern, also offering various accessories such as embossed calfskin notebooks, deep blue ink, leather and stainless steel bracelets, etc.
The carefully arranged flagship store takes everyone on an 18-day journey with Phileas Fogg. First, visit Phileas Fogg’s office, register with new writing tools, and then understand the reason why this 19th-century adventurer decided to travel around the world in just 80 days through the playing cards on the table.
The hot air balloon installation in the store pays tribute to the 1956 film starring David Niven, incorporating the classic scene of Phileas Fogg traveling from London to France by hot air balloon. The first-class carriage of the Mumbai train is another popular spot in the store, with interactive videos playing at the window, showcasing the magnificent scenery of the train journey.
