Additionally, there are various types of preserved and silk flowers carefully created by Karen Leung, a floral artist from Forest By K Limited, as well as a floral art piece woven from over 10,000 bouquets. The auspicious dragon is 28 meters long and is first made by Xia Guozhang Dragon Lion Troupe using traditional handcrafted techniques. Then, a group of grassroots and ethnic minority women recruited by Rui Cheng Production Cooperative design and sew the dragon’s body using recycled fabrics as raw materials. This not only embodies the spirit of environmental protection but also symbolizes the blessings and integration of various households and families, combining exquisite traditional craftsmanship with modern design. New Town Plaza also invites 100 local and ethnic minority families from different cultures and backgrounds to write their wishes for the Year of the Dragon and hang them on the dragon’s body, conveying a message of inclusiveness.

Huangpu Tiandi collaborates with the popular Japanese lifestyle brand “DECOLE Concombre” to create a large-scale exhibition installation called “Dharma Wishing Shrine.” The main visual features the Japanese lucky charm Dharma doll, with the design of a unique “dragon” shape and 7 adorable and eye-catching Lunar New Year images. The most eye-catching feature is a 2-meter-tall Hong Kong limited edition handmade wooden carving of the Dharma mascot, promoting sustainable living. There are also special edition “dragon” Dharma dolls representing the Year of the Dragon, a 4-meter-tall lucky bird gate, a giant GaraGara fortune windmill, interactive Dharma Ema lantern decorations, and plenty of photo-worthy spots with Dharma and New Year blessings.
