In about a month, it will be the Lunar New Year. In addition to visiting major shopping malls and taking photos with festive decorations, it is also a good idea to visit the Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden to enjoy the flowers and have some good luck along the way!
During the Lunar New Year period, you can enjoy the blooming of various local plants at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden. There, you can admire flowers such as the “Pink Lantern” hanging bellflower, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, red azaleas, and drooping hibiscus flowers that resemble small bells. The vibrant blossoms add different shades of pink to the entire garden.
In addition, you can also visit the mountainous area where a total of 1,000 orchid species are planted, each with its own beauty! If you want to decorate your home with orchids, you can also purchase them at the farm’s store!
In the Year of the Dragon, besides enjoying the flowers, you can also visit the reptile exhibition area to see the “Five-Clawed Golden Dragon” water monitor lizard in Aberdeen, as well as the Asian brown turtles in the venue.
