Cat lovers must come! Previously seen at the Sheung Wan café stain+ on the selfie wall, “Gloomie,” the cat who rests its chin on its paws, has recently returned to the café and is holding a joint art exhibition called “Purr.fect Obsession” in collaboration with 13a New Street Art Gallery.
13a New Street Art Gallery is showcasing over ten artworks created by artist Leonlollipop, including some never-before-seen pieces. The highlight is a large cat artwork made up of 6 paintings, with 8 different breeds of cats lounging on clouds. The exhibition also features a 60cm tall angelic version of “Gloomie Dream” and a new “Gloomie Amber” vinyl sculpture. The original artwork for Leonlollipop’s collaboration with Casetify, which includes phone cases and accessories, is also on display at the gallery.
Afterwards, you can go to the other end of Tai Ping Shan Street and visit stain+ for coffee and taking photos! The exterior wall of the café has been decorated with a Gloomie mural. This time, Gloomie is transformed into an amber-colored cat with a blue crown, against a backdrop of lake green. It’s cute and eye-catching!
The coffee shop also has 8 animal paintings on display, and is currently offering a limited-time Cat Latte, which comes with 3 different Gloomie-themed drink sleeves, cold brew coffee, and a limited edition Gloomie coffee hanging ear bag gift box.
During the exhibition period, those who visit both the 13a New Street Art Gallery and stain+ exhibitions will receive one limited edition postcard “Purr.fect Obsession”. Customers who purchase any coffee beverage (excluding hand drip coffee) or stain+ branded products at stain+ can use a HK$10 cash voucher.
